The buttons are ornament
Simplee says plainly that the front buttons fasten nothing; they sit on the overlay panel as a vintage reference. Knowing this in advance saves the discovery that the skirt has no front opening at all once it arrives.
Fully lined, no stretch
The cloth is woven and structured rather than knitted, and the brand states the skirt itself does not stretch. The lining is what makes that wearable over tights: it keeps the weave off the leg and stops the skirt climbing on a wool layer.
Elastic only at the back
The waistband gives across the back and lies flat across the front, adding room without softening the line where it shows. With a non-stretch body, that band is the entire allowance, so the size chart deserves a look first.
